Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi is organizing their 9th International Conference on Excellence in School Education from 21st to 23rd December 2017 for more than 1000+ School Chairpersons, Presidents, Directors, Trustees, Principals, Teachers, and Students. The 3-day program is being held at IIT Delhi and will see a participation of delegates from across India, more than 40 domain experts will facilitate knowledge through different formats across 3 days.
First time ever they’re conducting students’ workshops also where students will attend an Android Bootcamp, C++ & Artificial Intelligence workshop, Chess & Theatre Workshops and many more workshops with the renowned Resource experts like the Chess Grandmaster RB Ramesh, Theatre expert Shilpi Marwah and Technology experts like Jagdish Repaswal, Arnav Gupta and Ayush Chopra. The content planning is supported by EduExcellence and Nurtr.
The theme of the conference revolves around Academic Leadership: From Teaching to Learning. It will answer many questions for the delegates who are participating in the conference and provide them with hands-on strategies that will help them in the future. The Conference Chairman is Dr. Harish Chaudhry, who is a renowned professor at IIT Delhi and has been involved in school improvement for more than a decade now.
The Speakers are experts in various domains including Teacher Retraining, Assessment, Pedagogy, Legal and Finance, Special Education and more. They bring in their experience and shed light on various areas of concern that the school leaders face.

Dr. Harish Chaudhry has been training school leaders for the past 9 years and has touched and impacted the lives of more than 4500 school heads in India and abroad.

Ramesh, the chess grandmaster, started playing chess as a 12-year-old in 1988, inspired by Viswanathan Anand. Ten years later he was made coach of the Indian junior team – a 22- year-old, coaching the under-20 kids. The team did well winning both the boys and girls titles. He started Chess Gurukul, a Chess Academy in Chennai to train young aspiring players in 2008. Now Chess Gurukul has produced many international chess champions from India. More than just earning money, Ramesh has created a brand – Chess Gurukul, which has contributed tremendously to India becoming a superpower in class.

Prof. Rajaram S. Sharma headed the Central Institute of Educational Technology of the NCERT leading explorations of appropriate applications of ICT in education, including radio and television, audio and video, web and interactive multimedia applications. He was closely associated with conceptualizing and developing the National Repository of Open Education Resources, an ICT in Education curriculum aimed at the meaningful use of ICT to enhance teachers’ and students’ capacities to learn, ePathshala mobile interface and the Swayam MOOC initiative.

After his graduation in Botany [Hons] from Delhi University, Masters from the Indian Agricultural Research Institute, New Delhi and Ph.D. (Biochemistry), from Waite Agricultural Research Institute, Adelaide, Australia, he was a Research Fellow with Microbiology and Molecular Genetics Division, University of Cincinnati, Ohio.
