TheTechFest 2017, India’s largest Technology and Career Conference specifically for Students is to be held in JN Auditorium, JNTU Hyderabad on September 17 and 18th, 2017.
The goal of the TheTechFest 2017 is to spread the awareness of disruptive technology, scientific & design thinking and innovation at every level.
With a footfall of 5200 people visiting in 3 days, it is regarded as one of India’s Largest Technology and Career Conference for students.
It provides an international platform for the students to showcase their talents and skill sets in fierce competitions, display cutting edge technology and research from all over the globe, have world renowned influencers motivate the students and promote solutions to alleviate the common man of his banal yet significant problems.
Disclosing this in a press note issued in the city today, Manoj Raj. D, Founder of TheTechFest said, it is the platform for students to learn, experience and connect with the latest technologies and meet experts and mentors from diverse industries.
The theme of the Test is “awaken the future“, where students are introduced to the various aspects of technology and disruptive thinking and also celebrate Technology.
At it’s core, the event is for students who aspire to make an impact and create a dent in the universe and will remain the same throughout. “We did not have a platform when we were studying engineering and I always believed there was more to it than just running the EngineersHub website. TheTechFest was born out of the simple idea of connecting, creating and achieving a common technical consensus among students to create the future that they dream of and wish to live in”, says Manoj after successfully running EngineersHub for 7+ years and giving internships to more than 100+ students during this period.
TheTechFest 2017 is organised by EngineersHub in association with CDK Global and Facebook. The event is entirely volunteer driven. Student volunteers from 100 plus colleges, people who are woking in companies like Amazon, EngineersHub, Whacked Out Media, Mivo Group are also helping to make the conference a great success.
The best technology experts from around the world who will address various sessions include Martin J Aichmayr, Former General Manager, Date Centers, IBM Germany; Arjit Bhattacharyaa, Founder & CEO of VirtuallinfoCom; Abhijith Naraparaju, Region Head, Blockchain Education Network; Dr. Vikas Kumar Saxena, Director of DRDO.
The other eminent business and technology speakers include Vineel Nalla, Founder of 50K Ventures; Susurla V.S.Suresh, Engineer, Author, Inventor, Mentor; Ankur Mehra, Head Media Partnerships, Facebook; Aditee Rele, Director-Technical Solutions, Microsoft; Dr. S.M. Ahmed, Ex-Scientist, VSSC ISRO; Amit Sharma, Senior Director–Data Science, ADP and Ritesh Modi, Architect, Evangelist, Microsoft.
Avinash Tekalkote, who has been heading Student & Corporate Partnerships, for TheTechFest, says that, last year we had 70 per cent of the attendees as females and this gave us even more confidence to push girls and women into the technology space which is primarily a male-dominant industry.
Sharing more details, Sreerag Nambiar, Head of Operations of TheTechFest informed that the two days event this year will host 20 speakers from diverse technologies all around the world, 5 plus Technology Experience Zones, 16 plus Workshops, 10 plus Student Prototypes and much more. Stating further, Sreerag said that they were expecting a footfall of 5000 delegates this year.
Along with the Add-ons Hackathon by Mozilla Hyderabad, the Workshops at the event include: Car Engine dis-assembly; Car Mechanism Demo (Outdoor); Robotics, Internet of Things (IoT), 3D Printing, Intense Text Processing — BIGDATA; Sentimental Analysis using Python; Ethical Hacking and Cyber Security; Mobile Application Development using Android; Augmented Reality (AR) and it’s Applications; Artificial Intelligence — Machine Learning using Matlab; Saas Based Data Storage; Processing in Cloud Computing using AWS and Statistical Technique — R Programming
Learning from last year, Sistla Venkata Abhishek, Director of Strategy of TheTechFest; says, Technology has a huge role to play this year as the event scales up. QR Codes are assigned for each student delegate which will be scanned for attendance while entering the event and at Workshops. TheTechFest 2017 edition will also see the implementation of an auto-scalable, cloud-telephony solution for TheTechFest Workshop registrations where a student, who has bought the ticket and registered, can simply call a number and is automatically registered for the desired Workshop without the need to stand in a queue.
Entry to the every Workshop is on a first-come first-serve basis and hence this problem is solved using technology. “In fact, one of the event partners also asked us for the implementation of a version of this solution at their company for internal business process management and we believe this is how engineers are disrupting the way things are executed by using technology to solve problems at a very fundamental level”, says Abhishek.
The team of the TheTechFest 2017 comprises of Manoj Raj D; Sistla V Abhishek; Sreerag Nambiar, Mounica Paturu, Tharun Dasapathri, Aneesha Musunuri, Sharmida, Sangeetika Sreenivas, AvinashTekalkote, Prabhakar Shivala, Sreeja Sunkara, Prithvi Raj Chitteti, Chandrakumar Chiru, Sree Harsha, Navya and Vamshi Krishna. It is entirely volunteer driven and believes in the concept of a team equals. Every brickbat is shared equally by the team as is in every bouquet.
“I empathise with students from the bottom of my heart and always wish to do more for them. TheTechFest for me, is not meant to earn money but it is my effort to build a wonderful platform that will never cease to amaze and deliver the best of content related to Technology, Design & Career.”, says, Manoj, who invites everyone to check out more information about the event at www.TheTechFest.com
