Times Professional Learning, an education initiative by The Times of India Group and the Broad College of Business, Michigan State University (MSU), today, announced an agreement for the delivery of MSU online executive education programs for businesses and professionals in India. Starting December 2019, Times Professional Learning, under its vertical The Second Wind (TSW), will offer MSU certificate programs in business analytics and supply chain management, two subjects where MSU is recognized as a global leader. The business analytics certificate program is affordably priced at Rs 2.5 lakhs while the supply chain management certificate program comes at Rs 2.2 lakhs. The course duration ranges for a period of 6 months covering 150 hours of intense learning.

“India has long been an important international market for Michigan State,” said Dr. David Frayer, Assistant Dean at the Broad College of Business, Michigan State University. “We are very proud of the reputation that MSU has in India in business as well as fields such as supply chain.  Every year we have cohorts from partner institutions in India attend intensive immersion programs on campus in the U.S., as well as having MSU professors teach as guest faculty in India. This new initiative, with a highly reputable partner in Times Professional Learning, is an exciting next step as they help make these programs even more accessible to professionals in India.”

MSU’s certificate programs have been trusted by industry leaders in consumer goods, shipping and logistics, automotive, aviation and many other industries for employee upskilling for more than 70 years in the U.S. In terms of participant feedback, course rankings are very high. Examples include 4.6 on 5.0 scale for ‘Gain knowledge that positively impacts professional life’, and 9.3 out of 10 for ‘Recommend to others’.

Mr. Anish Srikrishna, CEO, Times Professional Learning said, “India has seen a tremendous rise in demand for business analytics professionals across varied industry sectors at a time when the supply of such talent remains a challenge. Hence the opportunity is immense with only a handful of high-quality courses available in India. With MSU’s domain strength in supply chain management and business analytics, these programs will help bridge the need gap that we have identified in the Indian market.”

The vision that MSU’s Broad College of Business and Bisk, their online education partner, have for a truly global classroom is enhanced by the license with Times Professional Learning. “Many businesses have partnerships, customers or operations in India,” said Mike Bisk, CEO of Bisk. “It is a market that is of great strategic importance for many. The breadth of insights that can be shared in a virtual classroom of professionals spanning the U.S., India, the Middle East and beyond, moderated by experts in their fields from each market, offers tremendous benefits for all participants. We are proud to help facilitate this.”

The programs being launched in India through Times Professional Learning are the Global Master Certificate in Integrated Supply Chain Management and the Global Master Certificate in Business Analytics. Each program will comprise three courses and is designed not only for industry professionals to enhance and expand their knowledge of each field, but also contribute to the ongoing reskilling and upskilling needs of the market.
