IEN 7th Skill Development Summit

7th Annual Skill Development Summit 2019 was organized today at Hotel Le Meridien, New Delhi by Indian Education Network

The summit had participation from about 180 delegates from across the country. With about 20+ speakers from Government, Academia, Industry and Sector Skill Councils, 4 main topics were discussed in the Skill Summit. Opening remarks were given by Mr Manish Chhabra, Founder, Indian Education Network and a special address by Shri Raj Kumar Jain, Chairman, Apar India Group

To deliver the keynote, Dr Raj Nehru, Vice-Chancellor of Shri Vishwakarma Skill University and Director of Haryana Skill Development Mission made his esteemed presence. He talked about how the Skilling Ecosystem needs to move in a very dynamic manner.

Mr Shivam Ahuja from SkillCircle moderated the 1st Session on Integration of Skill Education, Entrepreneurship & Innovations in Higher Education and the panellists were; Mr Abhay Kumar – Vice-Chancellor, IEC University, Lt. Col. Kailash Bansal – Director, AICTE, Mrs Sharmila Katre – Dean, Pearl Academy shared their expert inputs.

2nd Session on Future Skills: Technology and Talent was chaired by Mr Siddharth Jain – Chief Consultant, Discovery Education Media. Mr Bhupesh Daheria – CEO, Aegis School of Business, Ms Savita Kalwaniya, President Value & CSR, Trident Group, Mr Aditya Razdan – National Head, SAP Business, BCCL and Mr Vikash Jain – Founder, Adhayan World also shared their valuable inputs on this critical topic.

Mr Sushil Mundhara, Co-Founder of ExtraaEdge gave a special presentation on the Future of Marketing Automation in Education and a special session on the Importance of Internship in learning Skill and Developing Entrepreneurship was taken by Mr Devender Narain – Director, Shobhit University

Mr Apar Jain – Director, Apar India Group chaired the 3rd-panel discussion on Opportunity and Challenges in Future Generation Upskilling. Esteemed panellists; Ms Chitra Awasthi – Founder President, RIT Foundation, Mr Hitesh Chotalia – Education Head, FinLearn Academy, Mr Pawan Agarwal – Director, Smart Skills and Mr Sr OLA – Managing Director, Jet Serve Aviation Private Limited

4th Panel on Skill Ecosystem – Sector Skill Council View was moderated by Mr Chhabra, Founder IEN and was graced by the esteemed presence of Capt. Ramanujam TS – CEO, Logistic Sector Skill Council and Shri Sushim Banerjee – CEO, Iron & Sector Skill Council who shared deep insights about their Sector Skill.

Few Excellence Awards for Skill Development were conferred before the close of the Summit.
