Thakur Polytechnic (Tpoly) organized Technofest 2019 yesterday i.e 08th March 2019 at its campus located in Kandivali (E), Mumbai for the 13th consecutive year. It is the 10th National competitive cum exhibition for the polytechnic students. This year’s theme was “Computer Group”.
The prime motive was to provide an opportunity to the students for showcasing their technical awareness & presentation skills. Students from various regions had come together to exchange their idea & view in developing synergies towards the international integration.
First prize of the competition was won by Thakur Polytechnic, Kandivali for the project with title Class Room Automation. Class Room Automation is the project which automates the entire classroom activities including the lectures, attendance marking, lecture recording, etc.
Shah and Anchor Kuttchhi Polytechnic, Chembur won the second prize for the project on Coin Based Mobile Charging. The project charges the mobile by accepting the coins from the customer.
It showcased projects developed by Final Year students of various Polytechnics in India and in-house students of Electronics Group, Computers Group, and Civil & Mechanical Group of Thakur.
Dr. S. M. Ganechari, Principal, Thakur Polytechnic Institute states that, “The event is conducted every year with the aim of providing students a platform to demonstrate their abilities and exchange views with experts & industry personnel and to empower them with contemporary technologies & innovations. It also teaches skills such as technical writing and presentation based on their research work.”
“We at Techno fest inspire and promote young mind for new innovative ideas, identification and promotion of R&D activities at the individual as well as at the institutional level with worldwide networking.” He further adds.
