Silver Stitch ’ on 8th March, 2019.Held at Rotary House of Learning, the event witnessed women above the age of 55 come together for a colourful and memorable cross stitching experience to celebrate International Women’s Day.
With needlework merchandize from Seniority, the women bonded over fun sessions with coffee and an exchange of inspiring stories. Seniority aims to curate unique and invigorating experiences for elderly women, giving them an opportunity to continue their journey of an evergreen life. Silver Stitch is one of the many initiatives by Seniority that bring women together for a fun activity, enabling them to break the monotony of their daily lives.
The event did not require any prior experience and offered many women an opportunity to learn a new skill. The event was judged by Girija Sekar, an accomplished embroidery and crochet artist who is a teacher by profession with over 3 decades of experience in nurturing young minds.
